With this being the latest "stunt" from the Zionist Regime........would not be surprised if President Obama abstains from the UN Security Council vote concerning a Palestinian State. I also have no doubt that when he wins a second term....the "gloves will come off" regarding the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.

Israel to build thousands of new housing units in East Jerusalem....

You know this action will cause the Palestinians to revolt against you (have you forgotten the Intifada?). So why fan the flame of hatred?

TomTom - citing an injustice does not necessarily flame hatred. Without justice there can't be peace.

...Without justice there can't be peace.

Where is the justice in building thousands of new housing units in the capital of a future Palestinian state? I don't follow you.

Why am I thinking that this wouldn't be happening if the Palestinian leadership had agreed to something over the last 40-60 years? Or had not started 3-4 wars. Or had a government not partially of terrorists?

The PA and Fatah attempt "tricky" politics like running to the UN and Israel responds.

Let me guess. The PA won't address Israel directly about this but will run to some sympathetic organization for a pat on the arse and be told everything will be alright. All the while not addressing the multitude of social ills within the Palestinian community.

The PA and Hamas don't give a crap about the Palestinians...just maintaining power in the face of a losing situation.

Before we get into the old annexation argument, a bit of history. Jerusalem, post WWII, when the Jewish people were granted their homeland back, was to be an international city for 10 years. After that it's population would decide what it would do, (based on the population it would have joined Israel). Before the 10 year mark came a some thuggish countries got together and tried, but got their collective asses kicked, to wipe not only the Jewish state, but its Jewish population out of existence.

And now the Israeli Thuggery continues...

The PA needs to address Israel. But they won't.

They will run elsewhere because they can't get all they want from the current Israeli administration.

How about as a nation and a people with the right not be killed off by radical muslims who's admitted goal is the destruction of the jewish state and jews.

"The historic requirement for the Palestinians was, in the words of U.N. Security Council Resolution 242, to recognize Israel's "right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force." The Jewish state issue was never raised during Israel's negotiations with Egypt and Jordan. The Palestine Liberation Organization formally recognized Israel in the Letters of Mutual Recognition in 1993, which were the basis for the Oslo process and all subsequent negotiations, while Israel merely recognized the PLO as the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people. The PLO then went through a torturous series of emendations of its core documents. The Palestinians had, at that point, fully satisfied all extant diplomatic and legal requirements regarding recognition of Israel, and waited in vain for Israel to recognize an independent state of Palestine in return."........Foreign Policy, May 26, 2011.

Yasser Arafat, the late PLO Chairman and leader of Fatah, wrote in a Sep. 9, 1993 letter to former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin prior to the signing of the 1993 Oslo Declaration of Principles:

"The PLO recognizes the right of the State of Israel to exist in peace and security.

The PLO accepts United Nations Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338.

The PLO commits itself to the Middle East peace process, and to a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the two sides and declares that all outstanding issues relating to permanent status will be resolved through negotiations.

The PLO considers that the signing of the Declaration of Principles constitutes a historic event, inaugurating a new epoch of peaceful coexistence, free from violence and all other acts which endanger peace and stability. Accordingly, the PLO renounces the use of terrorism and other acts of violence and will assume responsibility over all PLO elements and personnel in order to assure their compliance, prevent violations and discipline violators

In view of the promise of a new era and the signing of the Declaration of Principles and based on Palestinian acceptance of Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338, the PLO affirms that those articles of the Palestinian Covenant which deny Israel's right to exist, and the provisions of the Covenant which are inconsistent with the commitments of this letter are now inoperative and no longer valid. Consequently, the PLO undertakes to submit to the Palestinian National Council for formal approval the necessary changes in regard to the Palestinian Covenant."

Why does this continued compulsive trait of accumulation astonish anyone, its not as if without being put on a short leash, that there will be any intentional amelioration, has this collective mindset previously demonstrated an ability to moderate their own compulsive fixations?

This collective, compulsive mindset has followed the same course of creating violent reactions through out antiquity, exampling the necessity of having to be allotted a homeland, so why without outside intervention would it voluntarily change its pattern, it won't.

Here comes it comes, Emperor "Bibi" and his Zionist Middle East Empire will be officially declared soon.

All he needs now is for the USA to attack Iran on his behalf.
