The new police chief of North Charleston, S.C., is a chaplain who will soon become an ordained Episcopal minister.

Eddie Driggers, 58, introduced himself publicly Thursday night to residents of the state's third-largest city wearing his crime-scene jacket with "CHAPLAIN" on the back, The Post and Courier reports.
